Moving to a New Home

Hi Everyone!

This is my last entry for this blog.

I am moving my random thoughts of delusional wisdom and insanity ( oh, and new creations) to my new blog.

The name of the new blog is The Lucky Pebble and is listed in my profile. I will be adding the first real entry later this holiday weekend to kick off the launch of my new website.

So to recap, new look, new, blog, new store, but the same old Denise.

A Quick Note....

I'm going to post new dolls, but it's going to be a late one today.

Today is Jon's birthday and I'm going to be pretty busy most of the morning making this day special and getting ready for tonight.

I'll be back later. ;)

Hi Everyone.

We had a little set back with the website today. Just a little one. When our website was reset by the hosting company it deleted all of the design and text that was on the website.

This means Jon had to redo everything. Poor guy was up to wee hours in the early morning getting things done. As for me, I have to re-write the text and have it ready for him when he gets home from work today.

This is only a minor setback and should not affect the launch date. I only cried a little bit. :)
But everything else is in place, Splash Page, (check), Shopping Cart (Check), SSL Certificate (Check again)...

However this means that I will have to hold off on showing new designs until tomorrow. I'll just have a double feature to make up for it.

Gotta Go!

(Oh yes! I forgot to mention that my Little Girl Friend Dolls made it to the final rounds of the Handmande Kids Sweepstakes on Etsy. Whoo-Hoo! I'll talk more about that later.)

Naughty Nice Dolls

Good Morning Everyone!

It's a beautiful sunny morning out here in Hawaii. I trust all had a good weekend? Mine was great. For the purpose of this post, great is defined as productive.

The setback in schedule for The Lucky Pebble is due to a mix up with my SSL certificate. We had to talk to customer service over at GoDaddy, and I have to say we're truly impressed with their customer service team.

Anyway, today I want to show a sample of what is becoming my favorite design concept. These are my Naughty/Nice Dolls.

When Raven was three, she wanted to be an angel for Halloween. Her father and I decided that it would be funny to add a little devil tail and horns to the costume as well because Raven has always been a little of both. The costume was the hit of the night. I have to find a picture of that night to post at a later time.

I incorporated that design concept into my new dolls. This is just an example of the dolls that will be featured. I know it seems as though I am sticking with polka dots lately, but I promise there will be different color schemes on the site. It's just that I make my dolls in bulk so I work with a few colors at a time for faster productivity.

Please note that these doll will come in a variety of body shapes as well. I wanted to show these dolls last week but decided to get the copyright in tact first. Ugh. That's another post entirely.

The OTHER doll that is featured today is my logo. doll. This is Lenore holding her lucky pet pebble on a leash. I had so much fun making her that I ordered more Grey wool tweed for duplicates. I have a plan for some wool rocks in the works ( well.... once I talk to my friends), for the doll.

Lenore will need her Lucky Pebble.

Well thanks for sticking this one out with me. Tomorrow I am going to feature some new rag dolls. I have tweaked the design a bit.
